Photodynamic Therapy

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is considered to be the minimally invasive treatment for many skin conditions, including some premalignant conditions. PDT uses photosesitising  drugs in shape of creams that are activated with the help of exposure of a specific light spectrum.  Over the last 2 decades, the PDT drugs and the activating light delivery systems have progressed well to provide a proper trearment in considerably reduced treatment time.  PDT techniques are simple, can be carried out in out patient clinics with minimum discomfort to patient.
